What you are buying

Not a plan. Not an application. Research. You (or a helper) run Medicare.gov the way we specify — logged out, anonymous — and upload the PDFs. We analyze MAPD vs the Freedom Stack (Medigap + standalone Part D), verify hospital and network fit where you name them, rank plans on your drug costs (not misleading “total annual cost” sorts), and explain the tradeoffs in plain English.

Authors of The Traps Within Medicare. Built for people who can afford real advice and refuse to be rushed.

Who this is for

Good fit

  • Turning 65 or re-shopping with complex drugs or doctors
  • Choosing between Medicare Advantage and Medigap + Part D
  • Couples who may split paths (one MAPD, one Freedom Stack)
  • Anyone who wants Medicare.gov as source of truth, plus expert interpretation

Not this product

  • Dual-eligible / full Medicaid / LIS — please re-read Chapters 9 & 10 of The Traps Within Medicare (this SKU is not built for dual/LIS paths)
  • “Just enroll me” — we do not submit applications
  • Replacing a local agent relationship you already trust

How it works

  1. Purchase a prepaid research certificate (secure checkout below). Gift Up delivers your research code and private link — save them; we never ask your name.
  2. Short intake at your code link: ZIP, county, income band, hospital, doctors (name + street address + phone), Part A/B dates, and any special goals or considerations you have.
  3. Medicare.gov session (~60–90 min): create a new folder on your Desktop named Medicare. Follow our step-by-step Run Card — never log in; always run the session as a guest (login can put your name on prints). When instructed, print pages “as PDF” and save them into your Medicare folder.
  4. One-step upload of your Desktop Medicare folder (all PDFs; do not rename files).
  5. 48 business hours later (typical): check your private inbox. Your full PDF report will be there, waiting for you.

Do not start Medicare.gov before October 15 if you want January 1 enrollment

If you are shopping for a January 1, 2027 plan change (Annual Enrollment), do not initiate a Medicare.gov Plan Compare session before October 15 — next year’s plans are not ready for side-by-side shopping until October 15 – December 7 enrollment opens.

If you are aging in to Medicare with Part A and/or Part B effective dates before then and need brief 2026 coverage, understand that a plan change effective January 1, 2027 may be advisable — and is not knowable until you can shop on or after October 15. Your Run Card will branch IEP vs AEP; follow it exactly.

Anonymity is the product

Your highly confidential data, carefully and deeply analyzed, and always fully anonymized — that is the product.

We never require

  • Your name on intake
  • Medicare number or SSN
  • Date of birth in our database
  • Medicare.gov account (login puts your name on prints)

Payment side (Gift Up)

  • Checkout will ask for an email (Gift Up receipt)
  • That information stays strictly with Gift Up — we do not receive or store it in our research systems
  • Your report lives only at research code + mailbox

Please take note: do not order unless…

You have at least a laptop computer with which to access Medicare.gov. You will also need either (a) the ability to print our customized Run Card instructions, or (b) a second medium-sized screen to read them from during your Medicare.gov session. Medicare.gov is far too complicated to attempt from a phone — many have tried, to their great and lasting frustration. For our purposes here, it is, unfortunately, completely impossible.

Sample: what a couple receives

Built to the same outline as the book’s companion model. Below is the table of contents pattern; length varies with county complexity and household paths (complex cases often run longer than the minimum we quote). Your report uses your ZIP, drugs, and Medicare.gov PDFs — not a generic brochure.

Illustrative Split-path couple — Partner A (respiratory drugs) + Partner B (cardiac/HTN). Names below are labels only; your PDF shows no legal name.

FAQ

Is this insurance?
No. Educational research only. We do not enroll you in any plan.
Why can’t you just look me up?
We don’t clone Medicare.gov. Your exports are the source of truth for drug tiers and costs in your county this plan year.
Why no Medicare.gov login?
Logged-in sessions can print your name on Plan Reports. Always use Continue without logging in / guest mode. We stay anonymous end-to-end.
What if I mess up the upload?
One included do-over cycle. We tell you exactly what’s missing.
Refund policy?
Contact us within 30 calendar days after we deliver your report for a full refund under our money-back guarantee. Refunds are processed through Gift Up (we locate your order there only for payment reversal — not linked to your research).
North Carolina only?
Nationwide research. We are insurance-licensed in North Carolina; the report is a research product and is not state-limited.

From the authors

Medicare is a maze on purpose. The Traps Within Medicare exists because we were tired of watching smart seniors get frozen into the wrong universe — or the right universe with the wrong formulary. The Complete Research Report is what we wished existed when we hit 65: someone who does the math, names the trap, and doesn’t need your identity to do it.
